The right way to BE UNIQUE

Alma

Children should, if at all possible, have a space where they can be what they want. Everything in it belongs to them – their imagination shapes it, they are not bothered by external inhibition, without the warning ‘don’t touch it’. Everything suits them, the shape corresponds to their size, practical purpose does not hinder the play possibilities. Light and bright colours to create an agreeable and funny environment. I designed this space based on these premises.

Alma Siedhoff-Buscher (1899 – 1944)

Inspiration

inspired by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher, a German designer and Bauhaus student, famous for her innovative furniture and modular toys for children. She combined functionality and creativity, influencing modern children’s design with her wooden furniture, furnishings and toys, including the famous “Bauspiele” with its decomposable coloured blocks.

Personality

the Alma model is dedicated to brave souls who are not afraid to go against the tide, but do so by relying on their childlike imagination, which is perhaps the only way to remain free and independent

Description

Bio-acetate: the frame is made of bio acetate M49 Mazzucchelli, fully recyclable and biodegradable, without chemical agglomerates to reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Its natural origin is also apparent to the touch thanks to its pleasant, warm, and silky effect.

Front: : the front interprets the style of designer Siedoff-Buscher by combining functionality and creativity from the spontaneous language of drawing. The lines that make up the front combine with each other in a “playful” form in daring juxtapositions of lines just as in the spontaneous and imaginative play of the now famous Bauspiele designed by Siedoff-Buscher.

Temples: model “sail”, takes its name from its shape reminiscent of the tiller of a rudder. The perforated “o”, taken from Good’s logo, is reproduced at the end.
